Poker After Dark Returns
The NBC show “Poker After Dark” will return to the air in January, marking the start of the show’s sixth season which is brought to you by FullTiltPoker.net.
Filming for the new season concluded in October at Las Vegas’ Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. This season features regular players from previous seasons as well as several players making their debut on the show.
Producers have created many new show elements designed to create interest for both player and viewer. Some of these themes include a “nicknames” episode which will include veteran players like Phil “The Poker Brat” Hellmuth, Erick “E-Dog” Lindgren, Phil “The Unabomber” Laak, and Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari. Annette Obrestad (“The Huntress”) makes her “Poker After Dark” debut on this episode.
Another episode entitled “He Said, She Said” will include players Annie Duke, David Grey, Erica Schoenbuerg and new “Poker After Dark” player Karina Jett.
The “Mixed Martial Arts” show will feature Randy Couture, Bruce Buffer, Patrik Antonius and Dan Henderson, while a “Lonesome Shark” show features bachelors like James Arkenhead, David Williams, Brad Booth and Antonio Esfandiari.
Commentator Ali Nejad returns to offer play-by-play while Leeann Tweeden will return for her third season as the host of the show. The show’s new season debuts Jan. 4 at 2:05 a.m. on NBC. For more details, visit NBC’s website at www.nbc.com.
