Cake Poker Door Crasher tournaments
Poker players who like to do things at the last minute will enjoy the upcoming promotion at Cake Poker. From May 1 to May 15, the site will run Door Crasher tournaments, which won't be announced until a few minutes before they began, giving players little notice with which to register and sometimes limited seating that could fill quickly.
The low buy-in events might require $30 in cash, or simply one Gold Chip to enter. According to the site, the tournaments will take place between noon and 2 PM ET and again between 9 and 11 PM ET every day during the 15-day period. It's not known if there will only be one Door Crasher tournament going on at a time, or if several will take place concurrently.

Though it's not known how many tournaments will be ongoing at a time, there will be only 10 minutes for players to be notified of the tournaments and to get entered and seated before the game begins.
Lee Jones, Cake Poker card room manager, said he was looking forward to the Door Crasher tournaments.
“We're tossing these tournaments up and only announcing them 10 minutes before they start,” Jones said. “It is literally first- come, first-served. It may be a 10-seat sit and go with a Gold Chip as a prize or the tournament may have a significant cash prize. You have to be there when they happen to find out.”
Like the other big poker sites, Cake Poker (www.cakepoker) is currently qualifying players for the World Series of Poker event, being held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Unlike many other sites, however, Cake Poker gives players cash prizes with which they can decide how to spend themselves at the WSOP. Cake Poker also does not require that its WSOP players wear Cake Poker attire when playing in WSOP games.
