Full Tilt Poker (www.fulltiltpoker.net) might have felt like it was under attack recently, but this week the company can celebrate two wins in legal challenges.

Last year, Full Tilt.net was sued by Larry Kennedy and Greg Omotoy for false advertising, fraud and libel. The pair charged that the company had unlawfully seized more than $80,000 from their accounts that they say they rightfully won playing poker at the online poker site.

The site argued that the pair had used illegal bot software, and had dismissed the pair’s suits as baseless and frivolous. This week, the case was thrown out by the Superior Court in Los Angeles.

In Kentucky, Full Tilt's parent company, Pocket Kings, received a temporary relief during discovery by the state's lawyers. The state of Kentucky is seeking to seize more than 140 international domain names in its maneuver against the online poker giant. So far, the state has been unsuccessful.

The temporary delay was awarded to Pocket Kings after a state judge agreed and that's the company had not been properly served in a timely manner. In that way, then, no discovery could be permitted. This is not a huge win, because once pocket Kings is properly served, discovery can continue. But the order does at least delay some of this legal maneuvering against the company.

A Swedish poker player has ignited interest and rumor mongering in the online poker world.

A player who goes by the user name Isildur1 has been playing at Full Tilt (www.fulltiltpoker.net) for several months and has established a name for himself both due to his winnings, his losses, and his utter desire to stay anonymous.

A recent announcement indicated that Isildur1 would reveal his identity while playing in the Big Game IV, a live event that attracts some of the top poker players in the world. In fact, it was announced that its Isildur1 would not reveal his identity but would instead play in the live event wearing a disguise.

This week, however, it was announced that Isildur1 would not be playing in the tournament after all, and will continue to maintain his or her anonymity.

What has fueled even more talk, however, is that a new Swedish player has arrived in online poker rooms with the user name Ingsoni. This player has been playing at Party Poker (www.partypoker.com) since February when he or she was in the hole to the tune of more than $57,000, but by this week has amassed more than $700,000 in winnings.

Some believe that Ingsoni is simply Isildur1 with a different username. Well it may not be known who the player is, one thing is for sure: He or she is truly a poker mystery.

FullTiltPoker.net, one of the internet's premier poker sites, has just announced its fourteenth online poker series. This series has serious payouts for the winning players as well as a number of different tournaments that different players can take advantage of. This series begins November 4th and has a guaranteed payout of sixteen million dollars across the twenty five separate events that make up the series.

The biggest single payout is the Main event; paying out two and a half million dollars. From there, the next biggest payout is the two-day event with 2 million dollars of prize money. This event is unique in a couple ways. First of all, the buy in is fairly high for an internet tournament at two thousand, two hundred and sixty dollars. This is then turned into 6000 chips to be used for play. The structure of the tournament is also unique; with thirty minute ante periods and two days of play before the winner is selected.

The Full Tilt Online Poker Tournament Series also offers a number of a prizes on top of the cash prizes. For the people that make it to final round tables, they get a Full Tilt jacket. Anyone that wins an event gets a jacket, as well as a gold jersey. On top of this, their site avatar gets a golden jersey as well. Full Tilt has avatars so that each person has a character on the site and only a select few get the distinction of the golden jersey. For the person that is the top player at the end of the series, they will get a fully customized Avatar, as well as entries into all of the next series tournaments, except the two-day tournament.

Full Tilt also offers mini entries. This lets someone with a small budget enter the tournament for a much smaller entry fee. The buy in is one-tenth and the payouts are similar.

FullTiltPoker.net has recently updated their software for 2009 and are looking to really change how poker room lobby's work.

They have three types of lobby's for players to choose from:

Classic - This is what most poker players are familiar with and is a simple list of tabs for the different poker games and then a selection of the poker limits for each game as well as different rule variations (NL, Limit, Pot Limit).

Basic - This is a way to find a poker game by selecting your playing preference. Firs the currency: play money or real money, then players choose the type of game either: ring game, sit and go or tournament. They then narrow it down by game, limit, stakes and finally the last option is Play. The choices at play: Play FullRing Now (9 players), 6 players, Observe table or browse tables..which is a combination of the new basic and classic lobby which is now called...standard.

Standard - Is a combination of classic and basic with filters at the top and the full list of games below. Which in my opinion is the best way to go and I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the default for most players. It is very clean and allows players to set favorites on their favorite filters making it that much easier to find your favorite fulltiltpoker.net real money games.
They have also recently updated the full tilt poker replayer. It is more of a replay where you can step through the hand instead of the basic text and who won the hand image.

Since beginning his online poker career as a meer teen at the age of 17, Tom “durrrr” Dwan has showed age holds no limit on earnings in the online poker realm. With $5.36 million in earnings at Full Tilt, Tom Dwan is taking on an exciting, new challenge at Full Tilt Poker one of the best us poker sites. Durrrr is currently challenging all online poker players to a “Million Dollar Challenge”. Dwan is offering $1.5 million to anyone that can beat him at 50,000 heads-up hands of poker online.

There are several preconditions to the Durrrr’s Million Dollar Challenge:

1. The competitor owes Dwan $500,000 in the event of his success.
2. Only No Limit Hold ‘em and Pot-Limit Omaha are to be played.
4. Stakes are to remain constant for the entire challenge, once they have been agreed upon.
5. Competitors must consistently have at least 75 big blinds in their stack at a time, otherwise they must reload.

First up to the challenge is heads-up specialist Patrik Antonius. Finland native, Antonius has been a regular on the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour and is currently on “Team Full Tilt”. The two previously battled at the Aussie Millions Cash Game in 2009, where Antonius was victorious. Starting on February 18, 2009, the heads-up pair have so far played 4,178 of the total 50,000 hands, playing for a total of 13 hours and 12 minutes.
