UBOC Online Championship
Absolute Poker (www.absolute poker.net) is encouraging players to forget about traveling to win a big poker tournament by offering a big prize pot for its at-home players. You can share in a prize pot of more than $4 million with the UBOC Online Championship this January.
The event begins Jan. 20 and ends Jan. 31 and encompasses 18 events, including a $1 million championship. The events are hosted by all-star poker pros.
There’s sure to be an event for every player, with events like Deepstack, No Limit, Pot Limit, Holdem, Omaha, and Turbo tournaments held during the 12-day event.
Winners don’t just win cash, either. Each of the 18 winners of the UBOC championship events will also win a watch, which Absolute Poker.net says will serve as a conversation piece and “luxurious timepiece”.
Hosts of the various championship events include well-known players like Joe Sebok (host of Poker2Nite on FSN), Michael Binger (winner of the 2009 Crown Aussie Millions Championship), Scott Ian (founder of the band Anthrax and a cash winner at the 2009 World Series of Poker), Phil Hellmuth (11-time World Series of Poker winner) and Annie Duke (2004 World Series of Poker champion and runner-up on 2009’s Celebrity Apprentice).
To play in the championship events, check out the “Events”, “Steps”, and “Satellites” tabs in the game lobby.
